Miriam Adekale
Registered Physiotherapist

Mariam completed her Honours Degree in Clinical Kinesiology and Post-Degree Diploma in Pedorthics at Western University, where she also played varsity rugby, before earning her Master of Science in Physiotherapy at McMaster University. Her experience as a Pedorthic Resident sparked a particular interest in gait mechanics, orthotics, and footwear, which continue to influence her practice today.

Growing up in Brampton, she played competitive basketball throughout her youth and was involved in everything from volleyball and flag football to dance. Always eager to try something new, she has also explored activities such as Muay Thai, hiking, basketball coaching Zumba instructing and her personal favourite – Activate. Today, she enjoys staying active through intramural sports and finding new activities to try.

Through her clinical training, she worked with children with developmental and neurological conditions, athletes recovering from injury and individuals across the lifespan. Mariam is passionate about promoting physical and mental well-being and is committed to providing inclusive, compassionate, and evidence-based care that helps people return to the activities they love.
