Leo Giron
Registered Physiotherapist
Born in Colombia, it’s natural Leo grew up playing competitive soccer in Canada. This fostered a lifelong love of sport and exercise, from playing League One for Woodbridge Strikers to playing in the OUA for Brock University and McMaster University, Leo has been exposed to what it takes to be a high performing athlete.
In university Leo volunteered at Heart Strong, an exercise program in the St. Catharines area intended to help seniors get back to activity following a cardiovascular incident. Leo also volunteered as a Spanish interpreter at a clinic for Migrant agricultural workers which allowed him to use his Colombian heritage and bilingualism to help others.
Leo did his undergraduate degree in Medical Sciences at Brock and worked towards but did not complete a Masters of Applied Health Sciences examining blood flow restriction training before accepting admission to Physiotherapy school at McMaster. During this time Leo also had a placement at Kids Physio Group, a pediatric physiotherapy clinic where he learned how to help children with a variety of physical and cognitive capabilities lead healthier lives.
Through these experiences, Leo feels confident helping people across the lifespan having worked with people from newborns to seniors, elite athletes to weekend warriors, and everything in between.
